I figured it out I dont know for sure if this will work for everyone, but it worked for me under Windows 10 while using Microsoft High Definition Audio. If you wish to reenable it, you will need to open Device. right click on the headphones and select disable. The graphics from the Intel 965 chipset are not provided with drivers for 10 I understand that your headphone connection broke off in the port on the notebook and you would like to disable the headhphones.
Whether or not your current problem is due to a driver issue on the audio I have no idea but IMHO as mentioned above - the attempts to solve it are unworthy of effort as the whole setup is unsuitable for 10 The drivers for most of the hardware are not available for 10 and problems will always exist Click to expand.Your processor is legacy and no longer supported by Intel - in fact it is about 2009 vintage
